About
In a stunning, never-before-attempted marathon of literary wonder, 36 Northwest authors write a complete novel in just six days under the watchful eyes of Fairy God-author Nancy Pearl. Come watch and cheer on your favorite authors as the likes of Garth Stein, Susan Wiggs, Jamie Ford, Kevin O'Brien, Jennie Shortridge, Erik Larson (and more) take their turns at the keyboard in Hugo House's Cabaret. Happy hour and drink specials Monday-Thursday from 5:00-7:00 p.m. and 8:00-10:00 p.m. Go to www.thenovellive.org for a more information and to watch the novel progress as it streams live! Brought to you by Seattle7Writers.org, Hugo House, and Amazon.com.

Seattle Arts & Lectures’ Writers in the Schools program places professional local writers in public elementary, middle, and high school classrooms to spark interest and develop skills in reading and writing. By encouraging students to write about what they know best—-themselves--WITS helps students find their own, authentic voices.

826 Seattle is a nonprofit writing and tutoring center dedicated to helping youth, ages six to 18, improve their creative and expository writing skills, and to helping teachers inspire their students to write. Their services are structured around their belief that great leaps in learning can happen with one-on-one attention and that strong writing skills are fundamental to future success.
